Stypro® er fremstillet af cross-linked gelatineskum og steriliseret ved gammabestråling. Det giver et produkt som er stabilt og let at forme - uden at det klistrer til instrumenterne. På grund af den porøse struktur har Stypro® en høj kapacitet til at absorbere blod og væsker - over 35 gange sin egen vægt.
